Why Choose Donegal

Native English Speakers
Ireland will soon be the only official English speaking country in the EU. Ireland is one of the few countries to learn English where you can practice with native speakers outside of your language school.
Clear Accent
The accent in Ireland is clear and easy to understand. Most of the English schools in Ireland are based in the cities like Dublin, Cork, and Galway and the accents here are generally clear and easy to understand.

Work and Study
For non-EU students coming from countries like Brazil or Mexico, a Work and Study Visa is very easy to obtain. The great thing is that this Visa allows you to work in Ireland, meaning you can earn some money to support yourself.
EU Access
Ireland is a gateway to the rest of Europe. You can visit the rest of the continent to experience the rich history and culture of other countries. Rome is about 3 hours, Barcelona is 2.5 hours!

Natural Beauty
The Emerald Isle – one of the most naturally beautiful countries in the world. Visit The Burren, The Giants Causeway, The Cliffs of Moher, The Ring of Kerry and Skellig Michael, one of the main locations in the recent Star Wars movies!
Things to do
You’ll never be bored in Ireland! Visit the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, the Irish Whiskey Museum and spend time experience the best that the young and vibrant cities have to offer.

What Visa do I need to study in Ireland?
ber you can cancel at any time!If you are considering learning English in Ireland, then chances are you’re wondering what Visa you need – especially if you need a Visa that will allow you to work. The good news is that Ireland is very open and Visas are (generally) not very restrictive.
Do I need a Visa to study in Ireland if I am from…?
The good news first – if you are a citizen of the European Union, then you do not need a Visa to enter Ireland. You can come and study and work with no restrictions. More good news – there are many countries outside of the EU that do not require their citizens to hold a Visa to enter Ireland – including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and more.
What documents do I need to enter Ireland?
There are some basic requirements to enter Ireland on a “Tourist Visa”, which allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days.

For this, you will need:

  1. A valid passport
  2. Evidence that you can support yourself during your stay – you will need to show that you have €500/month available
  3. Proof of Accommodation

If you are planning on studying in Ireland for 8 months on a Work & Study Visa, you must book your course before you arrive as you will need a letter from the school at the time of entry to Ireland. If you arrive on a tourist visa and then book a course, you will have to leave Ireland and re-enter a second time.
